I'm not sure what it says about Jane's Addiction when the
highlight of their show was Courtney Love being carried off
stage by a security guard, after refusing the leave the stage
after her opening slot. After rocking out 6 songs or
so, she was informed she had 'one more'. Well don't
tell the broad who owns the Nirvana catalog that she's gotta
go, dammit. So she spent the remainder of her set bad-mouthing
Perry Farrell, declaring war 'from one jew broad to another',
until she was carried of to scattered applause.
So how was Jane's? Ok. Not the best show I've
ever seen, but certainly not the worst. But to be honest,
I would've preferred it if Dave and Perry put the guitars
down and just told stories about their fucked up lives instead.
Maybe I had a bad attitude because Perry told the LA Weekly
'he's only doing these shows for the money.' I'm still
young and naive enough to believe in art for art's sake.
Maybe I'll change my mind on the Publicity Whore Relapse Tour
in a few years.
