The BEST thing about The Sean Dailey Band
is that THEY SOUND LIKE THE SEAN DAILEY BAND. This
town is filled to the rim with bands more concerned with
sounding like someone else than they are with finding their
own voice. Sean doesn't sweat that 'follow the leader'
bullshit - which is why I urge you TO CHECK THESE GUYS OUT.

Seattle born singer/songwriter, Sean Dailey
spent the last few years in the Los Angeles club scene fronting
hard rock bands before venturing out as a solo artist. "I
was frustrated with the bands I was in at the time and wanted
to try something new. At first, I just hit the streets with
my guitar and played solo acoustic shows anywhere that would
have me." As a solo artist, his unique brand of music
experimented with elements of vigorous rock riffs, melodic
pop-Americana and impromptu notions of jazz rebellion, combined
with brooding, introspective lyrics.
Quickly, Sean's spirited solo performances
caught the attention of producer/songwriter Tommy Henriksen.
Tommy was impressed with Sean's unique sound and decided
to collaborate with him on a few songs in the studio. The
combination of these two distinct personalities and songwriting
styles provides an interesting balance - Tommy, hailing
from the time-honored school of Sting & Peter Gabriel,
is more traditional musically, and often leans toward melodic
rock and pop in his skillful arrangements while Sean is
complex, abstract and draws heavily from the singer/songwriter
aspects of jazz and hard rock, citing influences such as
Soundgarden, and Tool for his more aggressive and conceptual
approach. Together they created the fusion of electric-acoustic
luster with power chord assaults that defines the sound
of Sean Dailey's "Seizure Salads" EP.
After recording several songs with Tommy in
the studio, Sean embarked on the painstaking task of finding
players who could bring his songs to life on stage. Thru
a series of auditions and networking, Sean was fortunate
to assemble a killer group of musicians. Now, this explosive
five piece band includes John Stack & Allen Moreno on
guitars, Vee on bass and Robert Jolly on drums.
The band's musicianship is striking, and their
live performance always garners a responsive, awestruck
audience. Sean strums his acoustic guitar and deliver dynamic
vocal melodies while John adds muscle to the big rock guitar
riffs. Allen offers effervescent tingly sensations with
his shimmery guitar playing while Robert's Bonham-esque
bashing is complemented with inventive jazzy fills as Vee
lays down a sensuous, primitive groove.
Its no wonder that the band rapidly earned
a dedicated following shortly after bursting onto the scene.
Because, aside from their stunning live performance, the
band has something that other hard rock bands seem to lack
- real songs. Songs with depth and meaning that move you
and captivate you. And, just like the strength of their
songs, which are built to last, this is one band that is
sure to go the distance.
