Is Courtney Love Deceptive Advertising?

For those of you who have recently awoken from comas, or returned from living in some socially retarded place like Montana, the ever-feisty Courtney Love is at it again.

She is currently spending her days playing ‘Point / Counter-Point’ with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic over who did what in Nirvana.

In an open letter to fans, she writes: "Kurt Cobain was Nirvana. He named the band, hired its members, played guitar, wrote the songs, fronted the band onstage and in interviews and took responsibility for the band's business decisions. [Cobain] wrote almost all of Nirvana's music. Over 93% of the band's song copyrights are in his name. There is a large trove of unreleased tapes that deserve a proper release, tapes that include several songs that neither Krist nor Dave have ever heard."

Grohl and Noveselic feel that Love is "irrational, mercurial, self-centered, unmanageable, inconsistent and unpredictable."

Sounds to me like they are both right – but I for one just want to hear ‘You Know You’re Right’ – the much discussed but never before heard song that is reportedly the last song Kurt ever wrote.

So since I can’t do anything to help that situation, I hereby vow that after I blow my brains out with a shotgun, my heirs won’t deprive the world of my very last Prick Of The Week.
