On Sunday, April 7th a benefit for guitar player Greg
Gillen of BRAZEN took place. This benefit - Presented
By Jimmy D. - was generously hosted by Paladino's. The
all day, 10-band marathon was sponsored by GreenStock
Productions and Rock City News. The fund raiser started
about 2PM and ended well after the midnight hour, with
proceeds supporting Greg Gillen's battle against cancer..

Yes, its true Greg Gillen wasn't able to
join in. But Greg was here there in "SPRIT" especially
when Greg's wife, Sandy Gillen announced "This ones for
you babe."
BRAZEN hit the stage and truly lived up to their definition,
Bra-zen (adj.) "Having a loud, usual harsh, resonant sound".

With Frank Morrison/vocals, his voice I
swear gets higher every time I hear him, Just incredible!
Curt Golden/bass - there's no mistaking that face. Demi
on drums and Rick Weed on guitar. Rick plays guitar for
his own band WEED, yet another talented band on The Bandwagon.
After learning Greg had to go back to the
hospital 2 days ago and wouldn't be able to attend today's
benefit, Rick Weed quickly learned a couple of songs in
just the last 24 hours. Well, Rick I'm sure BRAZEN thanked
you over and over. But I want to say Thanks too. You give
a whole new meaning to The Bandwagon and when we say "Fellow
musicians supporting each other."

the start. just incredible and RED HOT, turn it up!
Today's benefit for Greg Gillen was named
after BRAZEN's recent CD release UNLEASH THE FURY. I heard
once again BRAZEN formerly known as Push Comes II
Shove with original band members Curt Golden and
Frank Morrison are making a lot of noise over in Germany.

So as this day fell into night UNLEASH THE
FURY came to an end. But until, RoadTooth Records Recording
Artist- Michael Stansberry of Chigger Red put together
a little Bandwagon Jam. What a way to close the night
out! Then again what else would you do with a room filled
with so many talented musicians. Michael/Chigger Red on
bass? Eric / Wood on guitar. Then SURPRISE! there's a
face we haven't seen in a while. Stacy Lip / vocals JC
/ drums from Slippery Lip. The night just got better and
better! Then with guitars being tossed back and forth
from one artist to the next. Hawk from the band Wood.
Then Frank Morrison back on vocals. All throwing out covers
after covers! God you gotta love this band we call,
THE BANDWAGON
