The "Leader of the Pack" competition erupted Monday
night with 4 of LA's hottest unsigned acts taking center stage.
Bands including Smoke, Blunt, The Sean Dailey Band & Vyrus
all competed for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes &
the opportunity to advance to the finals. What started as
48 bands has been narrowed to 16, leaving the best of LA's
up and commers to battle for the #1 slot.
Each band put on incredible shows winning the supports of
fans & first time spectators. Performances demonstrated
superb musicianship and reinforced the quality of indy music
we have in LA. In the end, only 1/2 point separted first and
second place, sending "Blunt" to the finals for
a show in Mid October. The band blends elements of Rock, Rap
& Melodic rhythms and rocked the house Monday night to
a packed Dragonfly crowd . Burst Productions has organized
this "Leader of The Pack" battle and seen its crowds
grow in size each week, adding top sponsors including Publicity
Whore, hair & makeup stylists, fashion and video production
companies to the mix of prizes.
Leader of the Pack continues next Monday night at Hollywood's
Dragonfly nightclub with round 3 of the semi finals. These
bands are among LA's finest and will once again provide a
show not to miss.
